Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Beauty on the Wall by Chi Hong for HKD 3,000.00 (€ 338.60). This price was achieved in the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chi Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unknown in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,004.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Beauty on the Wall von Chi Hong für HKD 3.000,00 (€ 338,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) Including a Selection of Japanese Woodblock Prints from Private Collections bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chi Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unknown im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.004,03).
