Auction result well in line with expectations
In January last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries, which included the work Recto: Studies of two female figures, a walking figure below Verso: Two soldiers brandishing swords and daggers, a sketch of a third by Cherubino Alberti. The price achieved of USD 9,450.00 (€ 8,428.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cherubino Alberti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Prisoners in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 65,000.00 (€ 60,218.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Recto: Studies of two female figures, a walking figure below Verso: Two soldiers brandishing swords and daggers, a sketch of a third von Cherubino Alberti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.450,00 (€ 8.428,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cherubino Alberti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Prisoners im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.000,00 (€ 60.218,64).
