Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cheng Ming could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Winter Landscape changed hands for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,821.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November last year for HKD 114,750.00 (€ 14,239.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Ming konnte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Winter Landscape für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.821,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für HKD 114.750,00 (€ 14.239,54) versteigert wurde.
