Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cheng Ming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Autumn Landscape sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 7,010.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November last year for HKD 114,750.00 (€ 14,239.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Ming erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Autumn Landscape für USD 7.500,00 (€ 7.010,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für HKD 114.750,00 (€ 14.239,54) versteigert wurde.
