Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Project Mental N°1 (Field Of Waste) - 1994 by Chen Zhen for EUR 59,800.00. This price was achieved in the auction Michel Fedoroff Collection at Artcurial and was even below the estimate range of EUR 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chen Zhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Opening Of A Closed Center in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Project Mental N°1 (Field Of Waste) - 1994 von Chen Zhen für EUR 59.800,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Michel Fedoroff Collection bei Artcurial erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Zhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29).
