Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Citizen Lc 509 by Chen Zhen was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 27,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zhen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Opening Of A Closed Center in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 576,000.00 (€ 428,157.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Citizen Lc 509 von Chen Zhen kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 27.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Zhen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Opening Of A Closed Center im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 576.000,00 (€ 428.157,29).
