Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Knickknack Peddler by Chen Yuandu was sold in the Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 48,450.00 (€ 5,110.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yuandu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding Horses, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,801.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Knickknack Peddler von Chen Yuandu wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 48.450,00 (€ 5.110,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yuandu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding Horses beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.801,71) versteigert wurde.
