A top price for Chen Yuandu - as previously expected
The work Riding Horses by Chen Yuandu was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,801.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Riding Horses is the most expensive artwork by Chen Yuandu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Riding Horses von Chen Yuandu wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.801,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Riding Horses das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Yuandu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
