In October 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Riverside Village In The Sunset by Chen Yongqiang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 57,500.00 (€ 5,919.79), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Yongqiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carps in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,794.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Riverside Village In The Sunset von Chen Yongqiang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 57.500,00 (€ 5.919,79) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yongqiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carps im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.794,45).
