This artwork by Chen Yongqiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Narcissus And Rock sold for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 1,982.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yongqiang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carps in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,794.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yongqiang erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Narcissus And Rock für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 1.982,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yongqiang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carps im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.794,45).
