This artwork by Cheng Yong achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 49,560.00 (€ 5,306.17) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cheng Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Summer in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 34,817.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Yong erzielte im April 2021 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 49.560,00 (€ 5.306,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Summer im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 34.817,19).
