Auction result misses estimated price range
In April last year a collector was able to acquire the work Happy Life Series by Chen Wenling for HKD 17,640.00 (€ 2,132.80). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Editions at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenling achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work China Scene No. 1 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 97,000.00 (€ 61,372.98).
