The work Sailing By The Blossom Trees by Chen Shaomei was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 327,600.00 (€ 35,074.71), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Shaomei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portraits Of Great Poets in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,160,000.00 (€ 293,900.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sailing By The Blossom Trees von Chen Shaomei wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 35.074,71) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Shaomei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portraits Of Great Poets im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.160.000,00 (€ 293.900,50).
