A top price for Chen Shaomei
When the work Portraits Of Great Poets by Chen Shaomei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 700,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 3,160,000.00 (€ 293,900.50). This high result makes Portraits Of Great Poets the most expensive artwork by Chen Shaomei that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Portraits Of Great Poets von Chen Shaomei im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches.
