Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Lady under Willows by Chen Shaomei. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 56,063.02). Admittedly, works by Chen Shaomei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portraits Of Great Poets in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 3,160,000.00 (€ 293,900.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady under Willows von Chen Shaomei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 56.063,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Shaomei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portraits Of Great Poets im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.160.000,00 (€ 293.900,50).
