The work Lychees by Chen Renqian was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,561.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Other works by Chen Renqian have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,308.06) in April 2016 for the work Birds By The Bamboo Grove.
