This artwork by Chen Renqian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Fruits On Plantain Tree sold for HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,222.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Renqian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Birds By The Bamboo Grove sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,308.06).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Renqian erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Fruits On Plantain Tree für HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.222,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Renqian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Birds By The Bamboo Grove im April 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.308,06).
