Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Ping could be acquired at Sothebys in Beijing in December 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art auction, the work Landscape changed hands for CNY 92,040.00 (€ 13,086.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of CNY 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Ping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2015 for CNY 354,000.00 (€ 51,192.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Ping konnte im Dezember 2015 bei Sothebys in Beijing für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape für CNY 92.040,00 (€ 13.086,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von CNY 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Ping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für CNY 354.000,00 (€ 51.192,58) versteigert wurde.
