It achieved a price of HKD 33,600.00 (€ 4,305.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Lifu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Running Script, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 14,400.00 (€ 14,705.22).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script von Chen Lifu wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 33.600,00 (€ 4.305,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68%. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Lifu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 14.400,00 (€ 14.705,22) versteigert wurde.
