Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Lifu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in May 2017. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 82,600.00 (€ 9,431.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Lifu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy In Running Script sold at auction in April this year with the realized price of HKD 14,400.00 (€ 14,705.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Lifu erzielte im Mai 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 82.600,00 (€ 9.431,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Lifu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im April diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 14.400,00 (€ 14.705,22).
