Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy by Chen Lifu was sold in the The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 auction at POLY in May 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,031.36), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Lifu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 14,400.00 (€ 14,705.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Chen Lifu wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 bei POLY versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.031,36) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Lifu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.400,00 (€ 14.705,22).
