Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Chen Lifu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,000.00 (€ 2,658.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Lifu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 14,400.00 (€ 14,705.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Chen Lifu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.000,00 (€ 2.658,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Lifu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 14.400,00 (€ 14.705,22).
