Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couplet In Running Script by Chen Li was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2014. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,761.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Float to Sukhavati in April 2014 with an auction result of CNY 2,190,000.00 (€ 252,631.58).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script von Chen Li kam im September 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.761,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Li erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Float to Sukhavati im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 2.190.000,00 (€ 252.631,58).
