Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Treading Snow In Search Of Plum Blossom Riding A Donkey To Return Home From Fishing by Chen Huan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Huan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Talking In The Mountain in April this year with an auction result of HKD 114,000.00 (€ 116,416.30).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Huan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Talking In The Mountain im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 114.000,00 (€ 116.416,30).
