Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Secluded Temple On Pine Hill by Chen Hengke was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,064.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hengke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crabs in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 185,993.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Secluded Temple On Pine Hill von Chen Hengke wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.064,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hengke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crabs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 185.993,82).
