The work Lamp by Chen Hengke was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,022.81), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hengke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crabs in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 185,993.82).

Die Arbeit Lamp von Chen Hengke wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.022,81) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hengke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crabs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 185.993,82).
