The work Calligraphy in Seal Script by Chen Hengke was auctioned at Christies in Cologne in May this year. It achieved a price of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,551.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hengke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crabs in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 185,993.82).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal Script von Chen Hengke kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Köln zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.551,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hengke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crabs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 185.993,82).
