Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchids By The Rock by Chen Hengke was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,144.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hengke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crabs in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 185,993.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchids By The Rock von Chen Hengke wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.144,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hengke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crabs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 185.993,82).
