In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Autumn Flower; Calligraphy by Chen Hengke. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,144.22), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Hengke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crabs in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,960,000.00 (€ 185,993.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Autumn Flower; Calligraphy von Chen Hengke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.144,22) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Hengke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crabs im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.960.000,00 (€ 185.993,82).
