This artwork by Chen Hanguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. In the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Villa In The Mountain sold for HKD 21,240.00 (€ 2,410.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Hanguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Seal Script, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 73,160.00 (€ 8,915.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Hanguang erzielte im März 2019 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Villa In The Mountain für HKD 21.240,00 (€ 2.410,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Hanguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 73.160,00 (€ 8.915,03) versteigert wurde.
