A top price for Chen Hanguang
This artwork by Chen Hanguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Calligraphy In Seal Script sold for HKD 73,160.00 (€ 8,915.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy In Seal Script the most expensive artwork by Chen Hanguang that we have observed at auctions so far.
