Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Seal Script by Chen Hanguang for HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,321.35). This price was achieved in the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Chen Hanguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Seal Script in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 73,160.00 (€ 8,915.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Seal Script von Chen Hanguang für HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.321,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Hanguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 73.160,00 (€ 8.915,03).
