In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Poem by Li Bai by Chen Fu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,511.25), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Fu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,519.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem by Li Bai von Chen Fu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.511,25) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Fu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.519,30) versteigert wurde.
