Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moon Beyond Hills by Chen Fan was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,868.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Fan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers And Vegetables in April this year with an auction result of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 183,815.22).

Die Arbeit Moon Beyond Hills von Chen Fan wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.868,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Fan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Flowers And Vegetables im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 183.815,22).
