Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Rooster by Chen Dayu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,844.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Dayu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 60,742.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rooster von Chen Dayu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.844,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Dayu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 60.742,22).
