This artwork by Chen Dayu achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy sold for HKD 14,400.00 (€ 14,705.22) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Dayu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 60,742.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Dayu erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 14.400,00 (€ 14.705,22) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Dayu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 60.742,22).
