The work Lotus and Dragonfly by Chen Dayu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 32,760.00 (€ 3,925.81), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Dayu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 60,742.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lotus and Dragonfly von Chen Dayu wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 32.760,00 (€ 3.925,81) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Dayu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rooster By Wisteria ; Calligraphy Couplet im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 60.742,22).
