Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Chi could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Union Square (San Francisco) sight 17 x 23 in. framed 28 x 34 in. changed hands for USD 896.00 (€ 821.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Chi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flying Geese in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 302,400.00 (€ 32,376.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Chi konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Union Square (San Francisco) sight 17 x 23 in. framed 28 x 34 in. für USD 896,00 (€ 821,42) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Chi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flying Geese im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 302.400,00 (€ 32.376,66).
