A top price for Chen Chi - as previously expected
The work Flying Geese by Chen Chi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 302,400.00 (€ 32,376.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Flying Geese is the most expensive artwork by Chen Chi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Flying Geese von Chen Chi kam im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 302.400,00 (€ 32.376,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Flying Geese das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Chi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
