Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Agnes by Chauncey Foster Ryder was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. It achieved a price of USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,913.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chauncey Foster Ryder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gateway To North Carolina, which sold at auction in March 2006 for USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,816.79).
