Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Landscape with a mountain peak in the background by Chauncey Foster Ryder. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,525.51) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chauncey Foster Ryder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gateway To North Carolina in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,816.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with a mountain peak in the background von Chauncey Foster Ryder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.525,51) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chauncey Foster Ryder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gateway To North Carolina im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 15.816,79).
