It achieved a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,661.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chauncey Foster Ryder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Gateway To North Carolina sold at auction in March 2006 with the realized price of USD 19,200.00 (€ 15,816.79).
