Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Secrets of the Reef by Charmion von Wiegand for USD 625.00 (€ 507.51). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charmion von Wiegand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 93,536.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Secrets of the Reef von Charmion von Wiegand für USD 625,00 (€ 507,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charmion von Wiegand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 93.536,82).
