Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charlie White could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Photographs auction, the work Naked Boy Sitting Down, Looking Towards Camera (From Self Portrait) changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,355.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Charlie White have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2011 by the work "Granddaughter", 2005 at SEK 50,000.00 (€ 5,627.43).
