Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Dress, Japan; And A Japanese Family Taking Tea by Charles Wirgman was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wirgman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Japanese Warriors in October 2013 with an auction result of GBP 20,625.00 (€ 24,378.59).
