Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Medway by Charles William Wyllie for GBP 625.00 (€ 729.53). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles William Wyllie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Backwater in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 62,562.00 (€ 70,593.80).
