Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Agra; And Isogo by Charles Bartlett was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,032.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 in September last year with an auction result of USD 31,875.00 (€ 32,582.03).

Die Arbeit Agra; And Isogo von Charles Bartlett kam im April 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.032,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surf Riders, Honolulu, circa 1921 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 32.582,03).
