Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German the Watercarriers, Uchemant by Charles Wilda was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,801.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).
