Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Wilda could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Works from the Najd Collection, Part II auction, the work The Dancer changed hands for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,519.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wilda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Egyptian Antiques Seller in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 347,978.48).
