In the Robert Kime and Piers von Westenholz: An English Taste auction, the work Portrait of Mrs Ian Hamilton, later Lady Hamilton, standing full-length, in a black 'Worth' cloak with a pink collar, on a terrace. sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,527.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Wellington Furse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work With the York and Ainsty - The Children of Mr Edward Lycett Green, M.F.H. in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 668,750.00 (€ 759,130.74).
